Strain (Muscle) InjuryA strain is an injury to a muscle after the muscle becomes overstretched. It is commonly called a pulled muscle. A muscle can be over stretched during a job task causing tearing of the muscle. The muscle tear can range from a very small tear consisting of a few torn muscle fibers to a complete full thickness tear.
